This pandemic outbreak started in Malaysia mid January 2020, where Malaysian citizen contracted the virus while travelling to countries affected by the corona virus. Seeing the new infection cases on the rise, the Malaysian government implemented movement control order (MCO) starting from 22 March 2020, to help curb the rapid spread of this virus.
Offices, factories, schools and universities were forced to close, and workers are ordered to work from home.
Large gatherings in public and private places including mosque prayers, church, concert, and many more were not allowed to be held. During the MCO, Malaysia saw a steady decrease of new infection cases. While the infected slowly recover and discharged from government hospitals.
Silent carrier of Virus Covid-19 is the most dangerous form of carrier. They are known as “silent” because people can carry the virus inside of them, but can show no symptoms at all. While their antibody fights the virus in 14 days time, they can spread the virus to other people around them. When the virus reaches to vulnerable people such as old folks, people with chronic diseases (eg: diabetic, hypertension, asthma, heart disease, stroke, kidney disease) and low immunity people, these group will most likely develop covid-19 symptoms and have higher probability of serious complications.
