According to a clinical research published in the year 2008, researcher found that early physiotherapy improves patient outcome, in terms of reduced pain score and increase in overall satisfactory. In other words, those who received physiotherapy as part of their treatment regime, experienced less pain during recovery period and generally were more satisfied with the treatment progress.
With more than 10 years of field experience in occupational health industry under our belt, we have seen many cases which we can classify the employer as “penny wise, pound foolish”. Many employers neglect the importance of physiotherapy, because they want to save the extra cost but later found out that they have to spend exponentially more for hospitalized workers who need surgery. Not to mention, the cost of losing experienced and skilled workers due to chronic pain. Some companies even got sued by their ex-workers. We have seen many workers suffer from muscle and joint pain due to the work environment, in which to us, this problem is completely preventable.
